Derek

I'm Derek, an Occupational Therapist, with a passion for helping people live more independently and achieve what matters most to them.

I work with people of all ages, supporting individuals with disabilities, complex care needs and functional challenges. My clinical interests include functional capacity assessments (FCA), SIL and SDA reports, assistive technology and wheelchair trials, home modifications, and developing practical, individualised support recommendations.

My qualifications include a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy, Bachelor of Human Movement and Diploma in Fitness, complemented by additional training across specialised areas of occupational therapy.

Alongside clinical practice, I enjoy mentoring and supporting other occupational therapists as they develop their skills and confidence.

Outside of work, I'm a husband, dad to two young children and proud cavoodle owner. When I'm not working, you'll usually find me spending time with family, enjoying the outdoors, gaming or adding to my LEGO collection.
