About Dr
Gisèle is a physiotherapist with a special interest in neurological and vestibular rehabilitation, working with both adults and children.
Her approach starts with a simple principle: you are more than your diagnosis.
Gisèle takes the time to understand the whole person—their movement, health, goals, environment and what matters most in everyday life. She is passionate about helping people feel more confident in their bodies, understand what is happening and work towards greater independence and participation.
With a background in classical ballet and Exercise and Sports Science, Gisèle has had a lifelong fascination with human movement. She went on to complete her Doctor of Physiotherapy at Bond University, with further training in counselling, trauma support and psychotherapy.
This combination has shaped her warm, whole-person approach to rehabilitation, which is evidence-based, trauma-informed and neurodivergent-informed.
Gisèle particularly enjoys working with complex presentations and loves the problem-solving involved in neurological physiotherapy.
Her clinical interests include Parkinson's disease, stroke, multiple sclerosis, Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), Huntington's disease, brain injury, cerebral palsy, vestibular disorders and persistent dizziness, concussion, balance and falls, gait difficulties and complex pain conditions including CRPS.
Education and collaboration are a big part of Gisèle's care. She works closely with families, carers and other health professionals and wants her patients to feel heard, supported and actively involved in their rehabilitation.
Most importantly, Gisèle wants people to leave their sessions with a better understanding of themselves, greater confidence in what they can do, and a sense of hope about what comes next.
